Lushington Entertainments are thrilled to announce that the legendary band, DURAN DURAN will play a very special live show at the AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 10 on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 with tickets going on sale on Dec 14. Who can forget iconic songs of the 80s and 90s such as Girls On Film, Rio, Is There Something I Should Know, Planet Earth, Union of the Snake, Hungry Like the Wolf, The Reflex, Save A Prayer, New Moon On Monday, Notorious, All She Wants Is, Come Undone and Ordinary World? The four original members of Duran Duran – John Taylor, Roger Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Simon Le Bon will perform all their greatest hits and songs from their new album All You Need Is Now.

The stats on Duran Duran are remarkable: a total of over 80 million records sold, 18 American hit singles, 30 chart-toppers in their UK home market, and a global presence that guarantees them huge concert audiences on five continents. More remarkable still is the way they have achieved this, fusing pop music with art, fashion and technology. When they first broke in the early 1980s, Duran Duran single-handedly transformed music videos from a gimmicky marketing tool into one of the music industry’s most valued assets. With exotic locations, beautiful girls and stunning special-effects, Duran Duran took the visual imperatives of the New Romantic movement to another level, defining the MTV generation and building a loyal army of fans who have stayed with them to this day.



With their new album produced by the Grammy Award-winning super-fan Mark Ronson and mixed by Spike Stent, the record is a return-to-roots homage to Duran Duran’s most celebrated musical panache. With lead-off single All You Need Is Now and the recently released Girl Panic which features the original supermodels - Naomi Campbell, Yasmin Le Bon, Eva Herizgova and Cindy Crawford in the music video, Duran Duran continues to be at the forefront of musical innovation.

樂隊簡介:

Duran Duran，是1980年代至今歷久不衰英美流行音樂著名耀眼樂團之一，開創所謂「華麗搖滾」、「新浪漫主義」樂風之地位。他們樂風以「新潮」為主旋律，過往30年他們有21條單曲榮膺「美國流行音樂排行榜前100名」，30曲登上「大英排行榜前40名」、締造售出8500萬張唱片輝煌紀錄；甚至被流行音樂評家調侃為「英國音樂第二次大侵犯美國流行音樂樂壇」。

取名自《太空英雌巴巴麗娜》中的反派Doctor Durand-Durand；唱腔早期頗脂粉味，近年可能年齡已升格為40歲「大叔」已略為陽剛；歌詞則多豔敘述男女歡愛與遊戲，頗有頹廢旖旎之風。

值得一提的是此樂團無論是MV或是舞台現場表演，極為誇大及戲劇化，或甚至是惡搞卅搞笑始祖，例如：團員數名英美男歌手學滿清格格排排蓮步搖曳生姿走路（單曲Election Day選舉日），但亦有氣勢磅礡之搖滾史詩風格。

數名第一、二代團員離開另組新團，例如：The Power Station，也維持一貫風格多樣化文藝卻又狂野樂風，是英美流行音樂排行榜常勝軍樂團。
